CITY OF STONNINGTON
During my time as a Digital Support Officer at the City of Stonnington, I supported the management of the council’s social media pages, creating engaging content and conducting market research to improve community engagement. At one point, the graphic design team was extremely busy, and the Head of Marketing reached out to me to help with a redesign of the "12 Days of Christmas" campaign. Recognising that I had design skills and that the current campaign wasn't resonating as expected, he asked me to "save the day (Christmas)." This project required me to develop digital campaigns that resonated with diverse audiences while aligning with the council’s branding and communication strategy.

The aim was to move away from the traditional red and green Christmas colours and create something more contemporary and engaging. I conducted research into colour psychology and current design trends, ultimately choosing a pink and green colour palette that was playful yet sophisticated, offering a unique twist on the holiday theme while maintaining a sense of fun and celebration. My design process involved sketching concepts, experimenting with typography and graphic elements, and ensuring the design was adaptable across digital and print media. The final result was a vibrant, eye-catching campaign that stood out in a crowded festive market, successfully capturing the holiday spirit while appealing to a broad audience.
